I have simulated real index of refraction as a function of energy for a waveguide. How can I obtain maximum real index of refraction using "extract" statement? I have examined some statements such as:
extract name="nmax" max(curve(energy, refr.real))
but it does not work. Does anyone know what is the correct statement?

Do you mean Local Refractive Index? If so, I think, you could use "probe" statement to output the real part of refractive index and then use probe."" to extract the maximum value. More details from you will help to give a better answer.

but i could not apply it for effective refractive index. I will examine "probe" statement.
