Take a sample of groundnut of 100gm approximately. and take the weight of the sample with container. Put the container with groundnut sample in oven at 50-60 oC for 16-24 hours till weight decrease stopped. Take a weight of container with groundnut and find the MC as below.
MC(%) on dry weight basin=100 * (weight of groundnut sample with container before drying -weight of groundnut sample with container afterdrying)/ (weight of groundnut sample with container afterdrying- weight of container).

MC(%) on wet weight basin=100 * (weight of groundnut sample with container before drying -weight of groundnut sample with container after drying)/ (weight of groundnut sample with container before drying- weight of container).
Take a known weight of groundnut pod (initial weght) = x and put inside a container with a known weight and oven dry at 75oc to a constant weight. Weigh the oven dried groundnut pod = y and subtract it from the initial weight of the groundnut pod before oven drying = x and divide by initial weight of the groundnut pod before oven drying = x and multiply by 100.
