How to develop elctronic display of low micro volt pulses from 9 v batteries. I have developed a small, dam-cheap equipment to determine salinity level in soil or water. It works on light stick. If salt is there, it glows more. This light is obtained from 9 v batteries or from small cell volts. This I want to convert into display in numbers. Can you help me doing so?

If you want to make a very simple and small microcontroller circuit for it, with low cost and power consumption, you could use an atmedga328 chip - as used in many Arduinos - and program it with an 8MHz bootloader (all the details are on the Arduino website). That would allow you to operate with voltages between 5V and as low as 3.3V, reading the voltage on one of the analog pins. To get data out you could use a small serial-oLED display (a few pounds/dollars on ebay) or a cheap bluetooth module (similar price) to read data on a smartphone screen. If you want to go the smartphone route you could even do it without writing your own app just using a Bluetooth terminal program (e.g. BlueTerm on Android).
