How can I describe the "Sample size calculation" in my protocol?
My study is about the injury incidence among elite male soccer players between 9 and 15 years in 7 Belgian youth academies.
"This study is part of a much larger (PhD) study. A cluster sampling was used: clubs have been recruited, not individual teams. Within each club, 6 teams were recruited: U10 to U15. Recruitment took place until the maximum number of manageable teams was reached. 7 professional Belgian soccer clubs have agreed to participate: RSC Anderlecht, Club Brugge KV, Yellow Red KV Mechelen, KAA Gent, SV Zulte Waregem, KVRS Waasland - SK Beveren and KVC Westerlo."

What you have described above is more of your inclusion criteria, in this kind of study, I will go with as many willing study participant as possible due to loss to follow-up bias, except you are going to limit the study to one or two league seasons.
