For two phase flow, the mixture fraction can be used to define two phases, if it is constant in the computational domain, and the move speeds of two phases (air & fuel) are the same, then, it can be considered as homogeneous.
yes i agree, if sound speed C= constant it is homogeneous and if speed of the sound varies it is non homogeneous. I thank you Zhihua chen for the answer. But i have one question since i am working on experiments with IC engines how could one measure the speed of the sound in the inlet manifold of the engine?
