You can do peak analysis by Origin program with any text data file

you can use directly Origin if you have two colonns, but if you have only one colon you should to use  a methode in excel to make two colonn.

I have this program (X'Pert HighScore). I can open any XRD file after convert its extension to asc (*.asc).

Dear Dr. Breternitz, Thanks for the information. I had XRD data in .txt and .dat files and I could not open in Xpert Highscore. Normally .dat files open in Xpert Highscore but not this set. I tried several converters online and nothing was working. This thing of changing the extension to .asv worked and I was finally able to open the data in Xpert Highscore.

ur trick works! 

I do a similar thing.

I make sure it is just two columns of data without headers in excel, save as *.prn, manually rename the file *.asc, and then highscore is able to open it.

Just copy you data in notepad, then save the file as .asc (choose all file from the bottom square). Now you can open with highscore.
