Is there any tool to transform a cytogenetic location of a gen (for instance, 6p21.31) to the molecular location?
If you want to know the genomic coordinate range of each band according to genome build Hg19 you could use this file from UCSC: http://hgdownload.cse.ucsc.edu/goldenPath/hg19/database/cytoBand.txt.gz
Thank you very much for your help!
take some time in the UCSC web site, the table and genome browsers are really helpful for many purposes.
