For the (approximate) conversion of torque measured in ‘Brabender Units’ (BU) to the poise dynamic viscosity unit (or to centipoise), or to the SI unit Pa·s, or vice versa, the ‘Brabender Viscograph’ considered should have been calibrated with viscosity standard fluids, while the conversion error may be significant for measurements concerning a non-Newtonian liquid or paste. The conversion of Brabender units to centipoise is about 1.25x. 1 cp = 1 mPa.s, and 1 mPa.s = 0.80 Brabender units. ie (1/1.25). I hope this helps.
