I have got some files from GC-MS analysis with .D extension, but I have got the xcalibur software that cannot open these files, but only .RAW files. Do you how to convert the files in .RAW or how to open the .D files ?
I am not 100% sure, but I think the direct conversion is not possible. These are company-specific formats, and they usually are protected. Thermo Xcalibur works with .RAW-files, and Agilent MassHunter works with .D files. However, you can try to convert your .D-files to the CDF-format, and then open CDF in Xcalibur.
Normally you cannot convert, since these are the proprietary file formats of Agilent and Thermo.
There are plenty of free tools out there for converting into general formats which can then either be opened with Xcalibur, or one of the numerous freeware tools for viewing mass spectra.
Check out https://www.ms-utils.org . You will find a huge number of tools there, so I am sure you will find something that works for you. For converting files I typically use msconvert, since it is pretty flexible and can handle most file types.
You need to convert your .D file to cdf-format in the chemstation, in the thermo find the xconvert.exe and them convert the cdf-format to your raw version.
