I would like to prepare cathode material for lithium ion batteries. But in the process of slow evaporation it will precipitate. I need a viscous clear solution and can anyone clarify my doubt for choosing the best acidic and base medium for the synthesis of cathode material?
There no such general synthesis strategy to prepare any materiel. It will be better if you specify which cathode material you want to prepare. the synthesis route for LiFePO4 is different from LiCoO2. It will be better to follow sol-gel synthesis routs to prepare cathodes it will produce smaller particles as well as better electrochemical performance due to better porosity (compare to solid state synthesis). you can follow any sol-gel related paper for you choice of material.
