i got metal doped semiconductors with variable combination. I would like to go for sensing studies. How can i choose particular gas is good for my materials? How to proceed, help me.

You can not predefine the nature of the gas for a particular gas until it is proven by experiments. Generally, researchers check a material for different gases at different temperatures. Then, by results, they define the selectivity of the material. for example, if the material has selectivity towards a particular gas, it will detect that gas with very high sensitivity, sometimes at low temperatures with low concentrations.
