the reaction between plasticizer (glycerol, urea, amide .......) and starch would lead to forming H- bond between starch and plasticizer and the formation of the hydrogen bond is directly reflected as shifting in wavenumber and in turn this reflected as a change in force constant which calculated by harmonic oscillator model Equation. (see attachment paper) in these examples, they use one kind of starch and different kinds of plasticizers and then they comparing the value of force constant in two situations and determined which one have forming stronger H- bond
the question is can I use this model to make comparing study for the strength of H-bond between glycerol as plasticizer and two different kinds of starch ( wheat, corn).
