How can I calculate the Ne, Ks and Qz parameters of Hamilton and Mackenzie (1960) and Hamilton (1961) nepheline thermometry papers?

I'm interested in use these parameters in the NaAlSiO4-KAlSiO4-SiO2 ternary diagram provided by Hamilton & Mackenzie (1960) and Hamilton (1961).

These kind of thermometry is still used nowadays? There are more suitable methods of thermometry or even barometry for volcanic and plutonic (mostly) nepheline bearing acidic rocks?
