With castalia yes, castalia has a mobilityModule that control the position of the node and a power source model

I am not sure what do you want to compute, I suppose that you want to measure the delay, the delay can be measured in several parts, I suppose that you want to express the time from the packet is sent to the mac sublayer and the packet is received correctly for the other (this time include queues in the link layer+ retransmissions + protocols delays )

If you want only the radio, the time is distance/light speed + bit rate/packet size(including physical headers)

The issue is that I read your article in 2008 ( two-way beacon scheduling in zigbee tree-based wireless sensor networks ) it had considered for each superframe 4 active portion and in 2013( beacon scheduling for broadcast and convergecast in zigbee wireless sensor networks ), it considered for each super frame 2 active portion , what that is the difference between them ?

Alfonso Ariza Quintana There is a wirelessHost which communicates with standardHost through the AP. wirelessHost is moving in LinearMobility with the speed of 40mps that is configured in ini.  Now I want to get the speed value in UDPBasicApp, and this value should be send to the reciever (standardHost).

Note: I'm using inet 3.6.7 and omnet++ 5.5.1.

You can add a Coord variable type to the ApplicationPacket format.

You probably have a file ApplicationPacket.msg that defines the payload packet, you can modify the packet and include the fields that you want

The easier, in the initialize method, extract the mobility module and store the pointer to the mobility module like a permanent variable of the class, in the send packet, read the value and store in the packet.
