The structure under study is a steel-concrete composite box girder. Below is the figure for load-displacement curve I obtained from experiment and FE analysis using ABAQUS. The curves as well as the failure mode at ultimate load agree well with each other. However from numerical simulation, the specimen seems to have post-buckling behavior. The only reason I came up at the moment is that the difference between curve is caused as the loading procedure in experiment wasn't continued for much further step after the load dipped. By saying this, I mean that my FE simulation is right. Am I correct or missing something?
