I am curious to know how temporally the toxin concentration varies in lake sediments as it settles after release from cyanobacterial decay. Also, does it have any influence on setting up a toxic bloom?
Just noticed your interesting question that you posted last year:
Our attempts to ELISA sediments failed due to matrix effect. This motivated us to develop an MS/MS method using MRM as a major approach. The paper is submitted in ACA and I will post the updates on this pioneering study as I get acceptance.
I am curious to know how did you solve your problem. Did ELISA help you at all?
