I used d3heatmap and scales packages in R to make heatmaps of my data. Everything looks fine except the fact that it does not show color key to indicate the scales for each color. For example; that the red is a certain values and the same for orange and yellow (as a range).....
Any idea hoe I can add the color legend to my heatmap?
I really like the d3heatmap as you get kind of interactive heatmap with some cool future, but experience with oder packages are also welcomed!
you can do an image.plot(matrix) if you have a data matrix (fields package),
you can also use colorbar.plot

My favorite function in R to plot heat maps is ' filled.contour'. By default the function plots the scale of the values at r.h.s, the units are specified using parameter 'key.title' of the argument. Just send the command '?filled.contour()' in any R session to see all the characteristics of this function.
