How can humans have free will yet not be able to surprise God? Why? How?

Since God gives human beings the free will, it would follow that Godself is aware of the possibilities of human beings to act in different ways (or even the restricted capacity of human beings to act in certains ways and the unrestricted human desire of acting). Consequently, human beings cannot surprise God.
