How can digital tools and ICT (Information and Communication Technology) be integrated into the functioning of KVKs and ATMA to enhance the reach, speed, and impact of technology dissemination, especially in remote and under-resourced areas?
Digital tools and ICT can transform KVKs (Krishi Vigyan Kendras) and ATMA (Agricultural Technology Management Agency) by enabling real-time advisory services, mobile-based agri-extension, and data-driven decision-making. Integration of e-portals, AI chatbots, remote sensing, and farmer-centric apps can enhance the speed, personalization, and reach of technology dissemination. This not only bridges the last-mile gap but also empowers farmers with timely, localized, and actionable insights (ICAR, 2023; FAO, 2022).
