Due to uncontrolled use of chemical fertilizers the productivity of agriculture land is drastically reduced In India. So as to gradually reduce the use of chemical fertilizers it is recommended to use biofertilizers. In view of this an urgent need is arise to develop effective broth culture/inoculant of rhizobium for seed treatment of soyaben.

Dr Khedkar nice quarry to flag off. Soaking of seeds in liquid culture for 10-12 hours (overnight roughly)has proven very effective with regard to seed germination . ,
Prepare a liquid culture of Rhizobium japonicum. Grow it to a cell concentration of no less then 3E +09 and coat the seeds with 1.2 ml / lb. This will take care of the nitrogen requirement to the crop. Methods for production and use of inoculants can be found in "Handbook for Rhizobia" by P. Somasegaran and H.J. Hoben, Springer Verlag.
