I am offering an PG elective, in which, modeling with BPMN is one component. After a module on Petri Nets, BPMN modeling is undertaken. It involves the OMG specification, going through cases, making processes, tracing through models, event based models, working in groups to make processes, and finding flaws in models.

Thanks for your contribution Rushikesh. So you go from formal design to BPMN modeling. Is there any reason to first introduce Petri Nets and then BPMN?
