I'm using a transgenic zebrafish line which expresses Dendra2. The protein is not photo-converted, so it appears bright green. The live signal is great, but after overnight fixation in buffered paraformaldehyde the signal in fixed tissue is very poor, with high background. I need to co-localize this Dendra2 with another protein, for which I used a IHC protocol. I used an antifade mountant and all the other signals from the tissue (DAPI and my red secondary) were fine. so it seems to be the Dendra itself that did not survive.

1) Is there a superior fixation prep for Dendra2?

2) Can you recommend an anti-Dendra2 antibody suitable for whole-mount immunohistochemistry? Most products seem to aimed at Western blotting.
