I am looking to try and together a plan in preparedness for when restrictions begin to be lifted and we return to, an albeit new, normal.

We, like many other workplaces, moved a lot of people to home working in a short space of time. As restrictions begin to get lifted, we want to ensure that staff feel confident returning to workplaces in which they are safe and secure.

This may mean changes to working patterns /practices etc to ensure that social distancing can be maintained and suitable hygiene measures can be applied.

As well as this work will have to be done to recognise the fears of staff and we want to ensure that as much as possible is done to address these fears. It is this area, in particular, that I am working on. Staff are going to, understandably, be really nervous about returning to work and we expect some reluctance to re-commence working from their usual working environments. I don’t think it would be too much to say, that some people are going to be scared.

Do you know of any work, research , developments in these areas which I can draw upon in producing guidance and processes for managing the return?

I would welcome any advice
