Forage crops can be classified on the basis of many aspects such as 1. on basis of family legume and non legume 2. on the basis of life cycle: annual, biennial and perrenial 3. on the basis of nutirntm on dry matter basis i.e. maintenance , non maintenance and production fodder4. on the basis of season i.e. summer, winter etc.5. on the basis of resources i.e. cultivated, pastures, forests, planataions, aquatic etc.
For Agenda and or roughages arevegetable material in fresh, dried or ensiled sate. They are less digesyibke than concentrates, high in fibre (CFmore than 80%) and low in energy (less than 60% TDN). So the can be classified as dry and greenforages.
I totally agree with the doctor Kumar, But, Vegetative form, growth form, Survivability, Habits Such as winter and summer habitats, Morphology and..... Should be considered.
