There are numerous research articles on air pollutant dispersion models. The question here is on the accuracy of meteoroligical data used and authenticity of data published. Usually, a model such as AERMOD uses MET data known as upper air meteorology, which is very different from ground level meteorology (greatly influenced by topography). Hence, a larger question hangs over the validation studies and data published in research articles.
