(1) Keep in view the purpose and significance of your message
(2) Listen carefully to others,
(3) Practice communicating with a group of friends, ask for feedback. We tried it at work a few years ago, and I learned how many time I used unnecessary "awe"
(4) Overdo it: learn how to over-stress your point, communicate clearly, as a lot of people pay very little attention,
(5) Body language is important: Understand the basics of nonverbal communication .
(6) Keep your communications engaging (interactive).

Practice is very important.
Make an outline is very important.
When doing Powerpoint concentrate on impactful photographs.
Do not have too many points in any slide or in the presentation as a whole.
Tailor your presentation to just 30 to 40 minutes and always expect 20 minutes for discussion.
Discussing with food and drink can help put people at ease which is necessary for in depth sharing.
Connect and focus on your audience.
Model yourself on other speakers and presenters you admire.
