let's say I have a dual polarized antenna in the transmitter and receiver which have orthogonal components (linear, one port has vertical and the other has horizontal polarization), I calculated my transmitter channel impulse response which is a complex value at each specific time delay, my question is how my receiver ports (vertical and horizontal) will understand that the received impulse response has vertical or horizontal component while both of them will be excited by the identical complex value? is a complex value counted as a 2 dimensional response to provide vertical and horizontal elements for V/H ports in the receiver or each of V/H port's feed need to receive two different complex value?
thanks in advance Farah
