actually I have read this paper and your all paper on research gate, what I conclude from it is mean, standard deviation, skewness and kurtosis are first, second, third and fourth moment. handling for

handling for 2m+1 method, two pair of location are to find (let us say for one uncertain variable), then run the load flow...let us say I am interested in total loss then (other mean value will put) then output variable (in this case loss will be multiplied with weights for k=2 times. but when I do update the E(Zo)+E(Zo_new). the results are not  proper. I have read Hong's two point flow diagram many times but hesitate or doing some mistake in weight multiplication with output variable may be.

My problem with 2m+1 PEM is that I don't know how to calculate skewness and kurtosis of my input variables. For instance wind speed is one of my input data uncertain variables which is defined by mean and variance in each hour.

Could you please tell me how can I obtain skewness and kurtosis from mean and variance.

Dear Behzad,

To find the values of skewness and kurtosis, we need to have all data.

Thus, we couldn't determine these values from mean and variance.

However, we can calculate skewness and kurtosis from histogram using the attached matlab code with an acceptable accuracy.
