I saw this pathology (see attached micrographs, H&E stain, 10X & 40X objectives) in one of my fish and I wanted experts' opinions on what is going on in this testis tissue.
The images probably reflect different stages of sparmatogenesis (spermatocytes with difused state of chromatin during early stages of meiosis may not stain well with H&E).
Yes, the micrographs show different stages of spermatogenesis but there is something else going on in this testis tissue: there are normal seminiferous tubules with spermatozoa in the lumen and there are other abnormal tubules (look like cysts) with a clear/empty lumen. The cells in those cysts don't look like normal spermatocytes either. @Grace Emily Okuthe
