Sustainability is not really a predatory journal. However, because it is an Open Access journal, the publishing price is high.

I could not judge the sustainability predatory journal whether it will stop or last longer.

It may not be predatory, but my shortcut to judge if it's worth sending a manuscript to a journal is checking whether it is listed anywhere, and how it's ranking: e.g. https://scholar.google.com.au/citations?hl=en&view_op=search_venues&vq=Highlights+of+Sustainability&btnG=

Roman Seidl That is a good one. But it is a new journal. Thus, it is not listed. On their own webpage, they have one publication so far. Thus, they seem to just have started. I suppose this is why I got an invite to contribute.

Katharina Biely Sure, for new journals this would not work. Next step would be checking the editors list. Sometimes, predatory journals list editors without their knowledge, but anyway, if there are people in the editorial board you know they are doing good research, this would be a good sign. For instance, Matthias Finkbeiner is on the list and appears to be a renowned scientist. You could ask him about this journal.

Moreover, I receive these kinds of inquiries all the time ;-). But for this particular case I also do not know.
