Under high-velocity impact, energy absorption saturates with increase in impact velocity above ballastic limit, but for fiber metal GFRP laminates, it increases with increase in impact velocity why?

Point is that you are using fibre metal GFRP laminates. Hence, the stiffness and impact resistance will soar. Accordingly, the absorption of energy increases with impact velocity for this kind. One of the article is given below.
