1. When studies on posture and MSDs are conducted, is it mandatory to write the pain parts in medical terminologies like Thoracic, Lumbar region for report writing or can it be in simple terms as back, neck, shoulder etc?
2. When talking about the height, reach and work surface, is it again a mandatory to write as buttock to popliteal height, or just in simple terms as seating distance between the stool and the edge of work surface?

Unless explicitly prescribed by pertinent guidelines, lexical choices should be up to the writer. Of course, much depends on the audience, and one may want to adopt accepted conventions as well as to adapt tone and style.
There are several grey areas, though. For example, in my field (human vibration), the ordinary term “buttocks” and the specialist term “ischial tuberosities” are essentially used as synonyms despite having slightly different meanings.
Referring to standardised terminology may be a pragmatic and safe approach. For example, see ISO 7250-1 and ISO 11226.

For posture assessment are some test in orthopedics and I have used Mathias test, for analyze in sagital plane, but it is only qualitative measures. In my doctoral study I have used, spine mouse software, with percutan screening. there are other software too. And for assessment of Head position you can use the angle between humerus head and auricula position. I have used a test for short pelvifemoral group of muscles too, for determination of increased lumbar lordosis.
No. Not required. The same simple terms have been used in the methods of evaluating posture such as LUBA and so on.

En primer lugar, si es para un manuscrito como artículo científico, si le recomiendo utilizar dichas palabras, ya que esto realza más la parte clínica y patología ocupacional de la ergonómica en los trabajadores. Sin embargo, en los contextos académicos o que, no lo sean, si se puede utilizarlos como; cuello, dolor de espalda, dolor de muñeca, síndrome del manquito rotador, etc.
En segundo lugar, en la altura y la superficie del trabajo, es adecuado verlo de la forma más técnica como; asiento o entre la silla y el borde de la superficie de trabajo; siempre tenga en cuenta, que entre mejor sea la claridad de las palabras, el lector va a familiarizarse más con el objeto de una forma cognitiva.
