Hello Jeremiah; Is the crazy ant that you are referring to Anoplolepis gracilipes? That common name is applied to various species around the world.
If it is the one you mean, that species is extremely invasive and using it as a biocontrol method is probably a very bad idea...unless it is already well established in your area. Be sure to do some checking with local ant experts before you proceed. Best regards, Jim Des Lauriers
Hi James! Thanks for your response and the advice too. Am not sure if the one am referring to is "Anoplolepis gracilipes" because this crazy ant is present in some parts of Tanzania (In the forest (can climb up the trees), seen in the crops fields but do not forage on crops,. I'm not an expert in insects systematics. However will send in some pictures for further assistance.
