If i understood correctly you are wondering about those values? Cohesion=40 and internal friction angle phi=42?

You know that those are of  totally different parameters and dimensions, Phi is pronounced by degree and C is for example KPa, so totally different, and a 42 degree of internal friction for boulders and cobbles bonded by alluvial sediments is somewhat less than usual values but about the cohesion it is dependent on the test which was used to obtain the value and of course in-situ condition of the material

Hey, thanks for your reply. yes these are for c- 40 kpa and phi= 42' (i wrote quickly i guess and misssed it)..

So, these have been brought out by DCPT tests which were carried out on 5 different coordinates of the location. The in-situ condition of the material is loomy soil over a strata of boulders and cobbles and mainly volcanic materials. So, do you think that such a high cohesion is possible?

I think it could be, if the loamy soil is compacted and not saturated.
