I wish to predict grain yield in maize based on morphological traits. Most of the morphological traits were measured using various 1 to 3, 1 to 9, or 1 to 5. What type of multiple regression will suit best? Thanks
Just use the multiple linear regression (or hierarchical in case you have control variables) in SPSS while taking into account the values assigned to the coded variables.
Alternatively, you can recode the continuous variables and run ANOVA or t-test.
