Actually, I am working on robotic arm and for that I am interested to use the motor found easily on the link " http://www.gyems.cn/794906.html " and named as RMD-L-50 servo motor. I want to know some of the information regarding the motor.
1) In how many positions can this servo motor stay in?
2) Is the position of the servo motor affected by the number of poles?
3) Does every BDLC motor can stay in this same amount of positions?
Kindly help find the answers of these questions. I will be grateful.

Servo motor works based on the Pulse Width Modulation (PWM ) principle, The angle of rotation is controlled by the duration of the pulse applied to its control PIN of the servo motor. Basically servo motor is made up of a DC motor which is controlled by a variable resistor (potentiometer) and some gears.
