Before using Nickel foam I washed it with 1M HCl for 3 minutes, Acetone for 15 minutes, isopropanol and Deionized water. Mostly the reaction time is 12 hours at 120 degree Celsius. The solvent for reaction is deionized water. Is there any solvent effecting Nickel foam structure? Need suggestions
1.Reduce ur reaction time at 80 degree celsius.
2 1M HCL is much more i think u will used few drop of HCL in DI water .

In order to remove surface oxide layers from nickel foam, HCl solution (37 weight%) was used in an ultrasound bath for 5 minutes. To ensure the surface of the Ni foam was thoroughly cleaned, we used deionized water and absolute ethanol for 5 minutes each. Using drying temperature of 70-80 degree Celsius.
There could be some expected reasons.
