I believe both share the same fundamental materials, however, one discusses implementing commands on Cisco equipments and the other on Huawei equipments. I believe ccna is still more reputable around the world.

CCNA R&S is still a reputable certification because Cisco products (Routers and Switches) are dominating the market.

Dear all, Happy new year, for me HCNA is the HUAWEI version of CCNA which belongs to CISCO. CISCO is still the number one worldwide compare to HUAWEI, HUAWEI datacom Staff master CISCO commands, and by mastering CISCO, it is very simple to do the same with HUAWEI routers and switches.

I am not pretty sure about the simplification on commands diference between HCNA and CCNA certifications. Do not forget that Cisco takes open standards and develops its own, private protocols, and uses them on its devices, not always with sucess (remember the Cisco ISL VLAN creation?). Huawei uses a more open implementation, and usually takes the open standards and includes them on its VRP. Huawei´s switches, for example, have the advantage that can make two vlans to interact without the necessity to use a L3 device, no other device maker is doing it, as long as I know. I was curricula leader of a Cisco Networking Academy for 7 years, and actually I deliver course on Huawei´s certification path. Cheers.

Dear Saqib, CCNA is dominant certification with respect to Cisco devices in market and open standard and i realize somehow that CCNA has simple and easy to remember commands than HCNA.

Yes Faisal bhai, no doubt Cisco is Internationally recognized company as compare to Huawei but after I took few classes, I realized that concepts of both courses are same except the commands and yes, we studied CCN in our undergraduate so I opted for HCNA to get some different experience.

CCNA certification is dominating now but with the leading position of Huawei in ICT products market, i think HCNA will be the best certification to take in a near future.

Actually Cisco is pioneer and since we learnt about that and we are quite used to of the Cisco commands. Also, we have seen Cisco Routers, Switches etc. from the beginning. This is actually supporting Cisco so far a lot. But the way, Huawei has occupied lot of market already and I am sure preferring Huawei Certification will be more beneficial due to bigger market sooner. I have CCNA and CCNP done more than a decade ago, but now I have for Huawei Certifications and gonna take exams.
