Goggle zoom has been so effective and widely used in this part of the world as a result of the covid 19

Google ZOOM and Microsoft TEAMS are good. They both are ok. During my Department's postgraduate presentations in 2020 we used google ZOOM. The MDPI virtual conference held in Anlage Basel Switzerland in November, google ZOOM was used. Majorly, google ZOOM is used worldwide.

Zoom is a really good tool for calling conferences. Also, the features are perfect. But if ZOOM has recording options for both participants and hosts on smartphones as well as on computers or laptops or desktops, it will be a very big help. From time to time there are some connection issues a. Even if I have good connectivity, the connection takes a long time. This issue is faced also by my friends.

For me Ms Teams worked very well in classrooms and Zoom for presentations and workshops.

In discussions with colleagues, we have called the meet and zoom platforms light and flexible, while that of microsoft teams its environment Deployment becomes more robust, I mean slow but robust, the latter we consider that the requirements of use are the elements that define it. Because its execution goes hand in hand with the collaborative platform on which it is deployed. It seems to me that both meet and teams, its design acquires a more didactic meaning as it has to work for integration in LMS. While zoom, its relevance lies in the dynamic approach to video conferencing, which has made it more secure on top of teams and meet.

I think the massive use of Teams lies in the integration of the collaborative platform that it manages.

I am not sure why you call it Google Zoom, Zoom is not owned by Google as far as I know.

MS Teams is a standart workplace Video Conferencing app, but Zoom has many additional features, such as the amount of people in a call can be up to 100 in the free plan and up to 500 in the paid plan, whereas MS Teams supports up to 20 users simultaneously in a single audio or video call. Zoom also sends you a link from where you can download a video of your video call. This is especially useful if you are making an online presentation, sharing your screen as well, to download your visual presentation meeting video and sharing it on YouTube, etc. as training for a larger community.

We have been using Teams and experiencing only slight issues from some people not muting during the meeting when not speaking. There are audio echo issues from this due to some different microphone and speaker types. Also ringing feedback from some stations that aren't muted. I have experienced all of these on Zoom meeting when I was working at a different company. It appear to be a feedback issue, the addition of a background noise filter may help with some of these issues. The video background filter we use is good but if light levels on the face are different from the background selected it can look a little strange also halo effects occur sometimes.

Obviously, zoom is the best platform for online meetings. But the disadvantage is that you have only 40 minutes in one session.

Zoom is best for on-line meeting, teaching and conferences. It is user friendly. Google classroom is best for getting assignment from the students and for giving questions.

The video conferencing platform performance depends on the online portal/VDI /Citrix/IT security settings.

For us, our cameras don't work well with MS Teams but document sharing is easier. WebEx has poor overall quality, but 'crashes' less than Teams. Zoom is best quality, however when accessed through Citrixt the quality is reduced so much we can't use it.

The online portals helps to connect but there is gap which it cannot fill either its Zoom or Microsoft teams. Not all the programs are theoretical(writing in the context of studies) there are practical programs which cannot be compensated by any of video conferencing platform.

Overall , Looking on the positive side online training , meetings , counselling can be mitigated by these platforms as far as Covid-19 is concerned . Also it is a boon for IT Industry but not for everyone.

I do not know much about Zoom, but Microsoft Teams have improved a lot recently, both regarding robustness (quick files sharing, no more lag while screen-sharing, no problem to handle a high number of participants, ...) and regarding features ("raise your hand" is very convenient, "mute all participants" is useful to reduce noise and can be done by a single person, ...).

Moreover, it's integration of apps such as Microsoft planner (recently merged with ToDo app) makes it so great for projects management.

I am using Microsoft Team and it is good. But people use Zoom for better connectivity. The Zoom can accommodate only limited participants and if the number exceeds , then there are some problem . The user has to decide and it depends upon their requirement.

Hello! I have used both Zoom, MS Teams and Google Meet as platforms for online conferences presentations. I found MS Teams the most user-friendly when it comes to sharing the presentation file. At my University Politehnica of Bucharest, they use Zoom and MS Teams, and prefer MS Teams for PhD report presentations and exams. My professor uses Zoom sometimes for unofficial supervising of my PhD work. I always have a hard time finding the share file button :D

I preferred on Zoom, user friendly and free software , MS also good and fast and google class room also used for meeting as well as report submission and file sharing.

Yes, Online Education (OE) / Distance Learning and Working From Home (WFH) is a new reality in our country, especially in Java Island due to the spread of the Novel Corona Virus (COVID-19) Pandemic. This situation forces school children or office employees to study online or WFH. I don't need to mention the advantages of OE or WFH. The only weaknesses are that solutions can be found immediately, such as uneven device ownership, limited funds to buy data communication quotas, uneven internet accessibility, low digital literacy.

Google Meet's design has a flow in terms of bandwidth as with more users it has the more bandwidth it consumes, Zoom on the other hand was optimized for it. Both were pretty popular, however this is also not an issue to Microsoft teams, its just not as popular in Asia. Teams on the other hand is not a public domain but an Organization Domain, you can only avail if your organization has an administrator and has a domain name such ex.: google for education. And some functions such as Blackboard was first initiated by zoom, and further the gap till recently Google Meet adapt and called it google Jam. unlike the zoom you can draw as individual in the presentation itself. Overall, Teams is the most meaningful platform for Online Education, but less are aware of it. It has a lot of functions that are well thought of, but there is no option yet to draw in the screen of presenter.

Google Zoom and Microsoft Teams are good options for Online Education. Zoom has updated its interface a lot. It is easy to admit participants in zoom during a presentation, as the who is presenting need not shift between screens to admit. Host can present as well as admit without much disturbance.

Whereas Microsoft Teams is still not known to many, its interface is comparatively indifferent than that of Google Zoom and Google Meet, but the advantage here is that you can admit as many participants up to 500.

I think Zoom has better service than Teams.

Thanks for arising this question as the Video conferencing software and apps have become an essential means of communication not only for educational purposes but also for business and social purposes.

You are right zoom and Microsoft Teams are among the most popular means for the above needs.

Since the start of the pandemic I used both of them solely for work as the director of International Cooperation Office in the meeting with the partners and as a researcher in attending conferences and workshops and when it comes to my choice I always go for Zoom because it is simpler and it is still cheaper when the meeting are short are the participants and less and I find it more convenient as I might need to attend the meeting just from my phone.
