The Irish airline Ryaniar has pledged to go plastic-free by 2023! The decision is part of the company’s latest plans to improve its service and is a welcome addition to the wave of governments and businesses taking action to tackle plastic pollution.
I have doubts as to the safety of this product for real use application. Thanks!
As much as I appreciate the pledge, I share your doubts. It will depend on the definition what they mean with "plastic free"? if they mean their service for passengers within the airplan during the flight is plastic free, that could be possible. But if I look at the whole operation with the increasing amounts of plastic and synthetic materials used within the airplane (chairs, walls, carpets, toilets, TV screens, seat belts) and for the related operation at the airports where plastic and synthetic construction materials are everywhere (which they can hardly influence) they cannot claim to be "plastic free" from my point of view.
