I am interested in knowing if you have ever used a website as a learning management system for a course with the blog feature as a discussion forum. I am seeing the latter used as an alternative to the LMS for the first time and would like to learn from any successes or challenges you would have had with such an alternative. I wanted to be clear that a discussion forum should be used for a class discussion that can accommodate many responses rather than a blog on a website. How would you explicitly explain why the discussion forum should be used instead of the blog on the website? If I can indulge you just a bit longer, I'll appreciate it.
