On the surface, national borders appear to make and sustain national characters which many national leaders have turned round to sustain. However, I have another perspective, there is a sense in which national borders curtail the universal spirit and association of man and even limit the emergence and clout of transnational characters and the positive impact of globalization in that regard. There is a way in which problems solved somewhere also continue to be endemic horrors of another environment when national boundaries, physical and social, are over emphasized.

Thank you for steering the discussion in this direction. There are psychological and philosophical differences in the outlooks of nations and even ethnic and social groups. Sub-groups within nations have different outlooks and even within national borders, there are boundaries and groupings that privilege some and subjugate others. Attempts to re-group and solve some of these problems with physical boundary demarcations, patronage and creation of districts and states within countries create new minorities and sometimes modiferous old problems while creating new ones.

Borders are not just artificial though many are; the premodern sensibility acknowledges that. Borders are to a large extent natural and even necessary. However, globalization is a recentering of humanity and finding new relationship locus here and there. There have been genuine efforts to abolish boundaries that split what should otherwise be together. However, advances in technology which have ended up impacting social relations and media relations have pushed the globalization agenda in a non consensual and aggressive manner pushing over boundaries that would have been otherwise preserved. The challenges of a globalized world are real and threatening to the weak and unstructured, but progress waits for no one.

Borders are man-made benchmarks separating different nations from one another. National borders are like containers and they encompass people with a common cultural heritage, history , and a dominant language. I think that the question is somehow some kind of chicken-egg problem because it is not clear whether shared commonalities resulted in national borders or national borders created national characters over the years. However, in reality, there are no borders because everything we do on this planet has repercussions that reverberate around the world. We are connected despite differences in our national characters since we are all the sons of Adam and Eve and we are connected regardless of the walls (borders) separating us from one another. Unfortunately, greedy politicians and political leaders are an obstacle to such natural unity of mankind.

With all things humankind done in this recent era, so many things changed (even our natural characteristics), so I have doubt that one day in the future could be like warless and peaceful. I think if we want to be realistic we must admit that we change the ability of the human to be not greedy. So globalization will be just an innocent dream and will be limited to exterior characteristics of peoples life.

Somewhere in the past, we change the storyline and would be almost impossible to make a correction.
