Do you have any specific problem? Although I didn't used matpower before I was involved in some simulations in SimPowerSystem toolbox to Simulink. Maybe I could be able to figure out the answer for your problem.

yes, while running the matdyn simulation to introduce faults at different time instants am having only ieee 9 bus "dyn" file available. Can you help me do the same with other bus test cases as present in the matpower (like 14-bus, 30-bus etc.).

Just heard about Matdyn software (free?), but never used it before. Not sure it is a robust tool. Other free choice would be PST from RPI. All these tools do the same thing but compatibility would be an issue.
