Has anyone used ALM 633 C5 maleimide to stain thiols?

In certain publications they seem to use ALM 633 at 5uM and leave on ice for 15 min, however thats the only protocol I can find, and doesn't disclose any more detail has anyone fixed with PFA or used any permeabilisation buffer for intracellular staining?

Has anyone tried this for surface thiols?
