It's a Bouin's solution alternative with no picric acid and I think 0.1% formalin. I've only found a couple studies that have ever used it. This bulletin (https://www.ihcworld.com/_histologic/pdf/06_dec.pdf) from Sakura tests it with masson's trichrome and finds it somewhat lacking.

Has anyone had any luck with it for mordant or fixation?
