We are carrying out research on the distribution of cave fauna in a shaft with a perennial ice and snow deposit that partially occupies the bottom and in some other caves with perennial deposits of ice inside them. In the meantime geologists are monitoring the reduction of the snow and analyzing the physical aspect of the ice.
Several studies have been carried out by geologists and glaciologists on this topic but very few on the faunistic and biospeleological aspects.
I would be interested in knowing whether someone is leading similar studies.
