As we know, due to the tendency to decrease the overall Gibbs free energy, grain boundaries in crystalline materials are subjected to thermal-induced migration, either through a diffusive flux of atoms across the boundary or by the displacement of the crystallite surface, during annealing or sintering.

My question is, have anyone observed the migration of twin boundary, a special kind of grain boundary, during annealing?
