I am seeking an instance of hierarchical multiple regression in Microsoft Excel 2010 or 2013 on a PC.
A few notes on what I'm NOT looking for, so as to guide the discussion. I've implemented this quantitative method successfully in other programs (e.g., SPSS), so I am not interested in alternative software. Further, I have already found a solution to multiple regression in Excel (See Liengme's text for scientists and engineers). This is also not about HLM.

I downloaded XLSTAT and explored it for a while.
As far as I can tell, XLSTAT does not handle hierarchical multiple regression. (It does handle multiple regression.)

At your stage of statistical sophistication, you should probably move to a proper statistical package. Excel's statistical routines have suffered from numerous inaccuracies that Microsoft has failed to fix, though the last version shows some attempt to patch some of the issues: http://homepages.ulb.ac.be/~gmelard/rech/compsstat37.pdf

The conclusion is that Microsoft did not make an attempt to fix all the errors in Excel, and this point needs to be made strongly. Microsoft continues to market a product that contains known statistical errors, some of them going back to Excel 4, released in 1994. This should be contrasted with what is found on some open source or free software packages, see McCullough (2004c) about Gnumeric and Yalta and Yalta (2010) about gretl.
If it's worth doing hierarchical regression on your data, it's worth getting it right. I'd go with a stats package. If you're into open source, have you considered R? Or the commercial, but far easier Stata
Yes, I've got R running. I'm trying to find an Excel solution because I want to pair it with another process in that piece of software; then, everything will be streamlined. Thanks!
It turns out that the major barrier is getting the asymptotic covariance matrix. If anyone has a way to get that in Excel (or visual basic), that would be stupendous.

Thank you for responding. The book contains some helpful information on how to conduct hierarchical multiple regression. However, I don't see any information in there on the asymptotic covariance matrix, which is the major hangup at this point.

Caveat: The site has some errors on it elsewhere, so it does not seem to be a great source in general, but this particular page was helpful to me in this scenario. I checked the results against SPSS, and they worked for what I've tried so far.
