After many tries, the bottom of the lanes are being distorted, as seen in the attached image. These are 12% stain-free gels with a colour protein standard ladder.
Try to expand the time for your gel polymerization, but also be careful from drying, also be as precise as possible while preparing your gel ingredients (precise amount of each components, don't try to skip any step, any warning notes), I'm guessing that it was just an issue during the gel preparation)
Also, I'm suggesting to shorten little bit your migration time, and or frequency and voltage. Finally be sure to let the migration occurs in a cold room (+4°C temperature) to be sure that heating resulted from the electric field generated through your gel do not alter the gel characteristics.
