Has anyone ever had high fecundity/multiple eggs in their rotifer cultures but no increase in numbers or culture density? Has anyone ever identified the cause or driving factor that hinders culture growth while still having healthy individual rotifers?

We are looking to figure this out in a barramundi hatchery in NT, Australia. Thinking it could be a bacterial issue or perhaps a parasite or predator that attacks the eggs?
